Hi
How to enable or open new private tab for konqueror?
I have not found a way to do that. I don’t think it is possible. However, “rekonq” does have a private tab (and shares bookmarks and cookies with konqueror).
Thanks for help I installed rekonq but not found in the menu (not show icon)only open with Konsole. how to add icon in the menu
You don’t have to, at least if you installed an openSUSE package. The menu entry is part of the package.
Probably the menu just didn’t recognize the change.
Try to logout/login, or run “kbuildsycoca5” (as user).
But to answer your question, just right-click on the application menu icon, and choose “Edit Applications”.
A note on “rekonq”. There isn’t an option to open a private tab, as far as I know. But when you right click on a URL, there’s an option to open that URL in a private tab.
Unfortunately, “rekonq” crashes more often than “konqueror”. So at present I am using “konqueror” even though I prefer “rekonq”.
Thank you very much for your guidance.
Hi my konqueror ver 4.14.10 and update 15.08.3 but go to about konqueror show ver 4.14.10 why? i download konqueror 15.8.3 and install manual with konsole i check version with software manager show ver 15.08.3 reboot system but still when go to about konqueror show ver 4.14.10 why?
The package version is 15.08.3 because it is the version included in “KDE Applications 15.08.3”.
But Konqueror itself (and kdelibs4) have the version 4.14.10.
That’s not unusual for KDE applications.
Although recently some of them switched to the KDE Applications versioning scheme, e.g. Ark, Konsole, and Kate.
The KDE4 versions I have installed here in 13.2 are version 2.19, 2.14.2, and 3.14.9 respectively…
