not able to boot from the hard drive after the installation.
During boot I am getting the following message.
could not find /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST3250318AS_9VY1MK84-Part 5
Want me to fall back to /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST3250318AS_9VY1MK84-Part 5 ?
Can any one help ?

Hi Chetan. You need to boot into openSUSE and repair the bootloader. If it’s version 11.1 that you installed, you need to do the on-line update procedure from within openSUSE before you repair the bootloader.
If you get the grub screen you can activate a Grub console window and manually boot the existing installation with console commands. That method is outlined in this tutorial (second option in the list): HowTo Boot into openSUSE when it won’t Boot from the Grub Code on the Hard Drive
Go into Suse, do the on-line updates, then use the method in the Appendix to repair the bootloader.
