Non threaded replies via NNTP.

I will never participate via web, that’s out of the question. Maybe single
post now and then.

I posted that brief OT note to mark which post of yours was comming out of
the thread, and I wanted to know if you were doing something different. If
the issue is known and nothing can be done about it, then I’ll just bear
with it, but I worry if my replies will be shown inside the thread or outside.

I did not do anything different.

It is strange. But I am not a nominal NNTP user (although I am setup to receive posts by NNTP if need be). I have not seen this before, but given my minimal NNTP use, my not seeing this before does not mean much.

Normally, when then is a ‘hanging’ thread, it is because someone has moved the thread. But as near as I can see, no one moved the thread in this case. So it is strange.

For anyone reading this thread, the non-threaded reply was noted on the NNTP side of this web thread: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/hardware/473288-opensuse-12-1-not-5-1-sound-driver-ga-ma770t-ud3.html where post#11 in that WEB thread started a new NNTP thread for inexplicable reasons.

Yes, it is strange, but it has happened recently two or three times, so I
started to worry. When I see a lone post I think of a moved thread, but
then I find the rest of the thread on the same subforum, and I’m baffled.

The technical cause might be that the lone post misses the “References:”
header on the nntp side.

OOps! Right, I forgot to mention that, thanks.
