Hello, am new to linux and is seeking help in setting up the internet on my system, i cant seems to get it to work any help wpuld be highly appreciated, thanks in advance

As 11.3 is not released yet, your question should have gone in Pre-Release/Beta. I will move it there.

Also take care that 11.3 MS and RC releases are for those who want to help with testing. Thus when you have a problem, one hopes that you will provide a maxiumum of information to help to find a possible bug.

sorry for the misunderstanding, however am grateful for your response, i have no errors so far with 11.3 mildstone 6 at this instance, am just in need of some assistance to get the modem working so i can move along with some development thanks again, maybe some tips from previous versions might do the trick

open a terminal

copy and paste in

dmesg | grep tty
hit ENTER

if you see ttyUSB0 or ttyACM0 do below:

if you do NOT: type

lsusb
in a terminal and tell us the answer

if you see ttyUSB0 or ttyACM0

try right-click on network manager; (two TV screens at bottomright)

select mobile broadband tab;

then ADD;choose your country and provider

Suse doesn’t have the APN settings loaded;

so google for your provider

get their values for apn; user and password;

click apply to accept; close box;

now left-click on network manager

thanks for your response, i have manage to reach that far but how do i connect, i cant seems to find connect button
