I updated my TW yesterday to 20260718. Now I don’t get a preview of active windows when I go to the top-left corner with the mouse. I cleared $HOME/.cache but that didn’t work. I also tried changing the function of the corner in system settings. Does anyone have any suggestions for more solutions?
Does it work with a fresh user? Works here with Wayland. I checked “Overview” and “Present Windows-Current Desktop”.
Is only the top left corner affected or all?
The settings are saved under /.config/kwinrc
You may want to backup this file and remove it to let the system create a fresh one (your user should be logged out for deleting the file).

Sorry I didn’t mention that I had already tested with a new user. It works there. I tried deleting the .config/kwinrc file, logging out and back in. No change. Must be something else. All corners are affected. I also tested with every action there. No change.
I deleted all three kwin* files. No change.

I (or more accurately, my son and I) finally found the problem. It was in .config/kdeglobals
[QtQuickRendererSettings]
SceneGraphBackend=software
I deleted those two lines and then it worked.
