I’m running Suse 2.1 with the most recent version of the Gnome shell. Everything seems to be running perfectly except that there is no window-close animation. Is this correct? is there a way to enable? it seems kind of odd that my windows simply disappear.

On my GNOME 3 windows disappear in the direction of the top right corner. Is that the same for you?
Mind, GNOME 3 and compiz don’t go together. GNOME 3 is not just a new version of GNOME, it’s a complete rewrite of the desktop environment.
Nope. they just disappear. I don’t have compiz or anything like it installed either. I though it was kind of odd. minimizing windows does go back to the corner, though.
