No Viideo for Linphone 3.5.2-40.1

Hello,
I’ve been trying to get the video working for Linphone 3.5.2-40.1, 64-bit, on OpenSuse 12.1. When I go to Options->Preferences->Codecs->Video, I have not codecs listed? Is there an additional package that contains all the video codecs? Can codecs for other multimedia applications, such as VLC, work with Linphone? If so, where do I install those codecs so Linphone can use them?

Thank you,
Richard

Richard,
I am running OpenSuse 12.2 and experienced the same problem of getting the video to work. I was able to determine that I had the factory version of Linphone 3.5.2 installed along with the Packman version of Liblinphone4 installed. I installed the Linphone Packman version 3.5.2-88.1 (this should have the video support active defined). To get it to recognize the webcam video, I updated my ~/.linphonerc configuration file set to the following entries under the video:

[video]
enabled=1
size=cif
display=1
capture=1
show_local=1
self_view=1
device=V4L2: /dev/video0

I noticed that Linphone would never update the config file with the device statement for my webcam. I manually entered the statement. It works now…
