@Soad2
it’s a miracle I see
How on earth your system even works is a testament to the quality of 11.4 and is in no way a reflection of your admin skills.
Assuming you originally had openSUSE 11.4. Can I ask, is that what you want to run? And do you want to try and clean up your mess or just re-install?

+1 we may need to have that repo etched onto a stone plate and set up
somewhere on a mountain top…and, mark a path up the mountain for the
pilgrimage SUSEers wishing to bask in the presence of its glory.

I just want to know if my system is safe or not, all I have done is just install the automatic updates that used it appear until they stopped recently
Any help most appreciated but please give helpful advice and not riddles
Thank You
all I have done is just install the automatic updates
Actually you have done much more. You added a whole load of repos
I did not answer in riddles. I asked quite clearly:

You ask ‘Is it safe’
Probably
If you want it to work properly though, you need help.
So answer me:
- Are you intending to use Tumbleweed?
- Why do you have Enterprise repos?
- Why do you have Videolan repo
- If you use Tumbleweed, why are you not using Packman’s Tumbleweed repo
- Why do you have duplicate Packman repos
Thanks for your help
Not sure how and why I added them but what should remain I have just added tumbleweed to the list not sure what the packmans are I am a bit confused with these
I’m fairly sure this one doesn’t really fit with either opensuse 11.4 or tumbleweed either:
SUSE:SLE-10:SP4:SDK | SUSE:SLE-10:SP4:SDK | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /repositories/SUSE:/SLE-10:/SP4:/SDK/standard
To be honest mate you’re probably better off not using Tumbleweed and sticking to opensuse 11.4, looking at the repos you have I would suggest you trim it down to just these as a start
Opensuse 11.4 OSS, Non-OSS & Updates
Packman btw is a repo for mainly multimedia packages
ONE packman repo, the kde 4.6 one should be ok to keep if you wanna be using the latest kde but be aware there could be bugs
The education repo ‘should’ also be ok to keep
In all honesty though if my system was setup the way yours appears to be, I’d seriously consider a fresh install of opensuse and pay more attention to what repos I added and why thereafter

and, read the paragraph beginning with “IMPORTANT!” in this old old
post: http://tinyurl.com/33qc9vu
though Soad2 never declared which operating system is in use…but, if
it started out as SLE-10 then that is spoiled now…and, if he started
out with openSUSE 11.4 then that probably spoiled by the SLE and
Tumbleweed repos…
i agree: start over and pay attention time…and, if that seems to be a
“riddle” then, maybe there needs to be a language shift (there are
several other major language forums available on this page:
http://forums.opensuse.org/ just scroll down for German, Spanish, French
etc etc etc…

You have a completely incompatible mix of repos. It is a miracle that your
system is still working at all.
The recommendation would be to reinstall fresh again, with only the
recommended set (oss, non-oss, updates, and packman essentials).

A likely cause for at least some of them could be 1-click installs, when using those it’s worth remembering that any repos they add don’t have to be kept after the installation is complete, it’s a simple step to remove or disable repos that get added for one single package during a 1-click install
I think one of the 1-click install screens actually has a tick box that decides whether to keep the repos they add or not
