No updates for RC2 available while using RC1

As i posted here: 12.1 RC2 available with zypper - Page 2
I did received 1893 updates two days ago, a couple updates yesterday and still i`m on RC 1. Now i see that RC 2 is available but zypper says that it has nothing to do.
Apper does not work anymore complains about a missing library so i had used the gnome interface of Packagekit (i have both kde and gnome desktops installed) and even then gnome-packagekit says that my software is up to date…
What is wrong here? Where does 1893 updates the ones for RC2? And if so, why in the bootloader i still have RC1 ?

How long does it take for a mirror to sync it`s contents with download.opensuse.org?

PS: opened this new thread because i suspect i`m not the only one in this situation.

Weird thing: my repo`s are poiting at openSUSE_Factory and after making them point to 12.1 i got the following amount of updates

185 packages to upgrade, **1448 to downgrade**, 2 new, 73 to reinstall, 1 to remove, 60 to change vendor.
Overall download size: 1.18 GiB. After the operation, additional 4.6 MiB will be used.

It is just that the package openSUSE-release does not change the version to
RC2 that’s all. I updated also yesterday (2073 packages) and the change in
the kernel shows I am running rc2.
uname -r => 3.1.0-1.1-desktop

By continuing to upgrade from Factory after 12.1 was split off, you now have a
bastard mixture of 12.1 and 12.2. Those 12.2 packages need to be downgraded.
Just let it happen, and you should be OK.

I noted this as well - reinstall the package openSUSE-release and it’ll
change to 12.1 (with no mention of RC2).

For the grub menu, just rerun YaST2 bootloader and have it propose a new
configuration. That changes the menu items to 12.1 (no RC1/RC2
indicator).

That is what I see as well here.
