I am a newb. (Day 4 using linux vs windows)
I restarted opensuse, now all my windows dont have any title bars!!! what causes this and how do i fix it?
Also i can not resize windows as there is no visible frame for the mouse to grab.

What desktop env. are you using - kde3 or 4 or gnome
Sounds like an incomplete setup of Compiz-fusion.
If so, install/run ‘fusion-icon’ and unset the window-manager from Compiz to
something else, and that should restore the title-bars.
Ummm… I am using openSUSE I know that… I think I am using gnome, is there an easy way to tell? I am using desktop effects. I rebooted 3 times and now its back to normal.
cookdav, I am a newb and all that sounds like Greek to me. I am a 12 year user of MS operating systems and have no experience with linux other than the last 4 days. I dont know anyone else thats using it either. So if you could dumb it down a bit, i would appreciate it.
Is your Start Menu at top or bottom
top=gnome
bottom=kde
How did you setup desktop effects
In a terminal as super user type
zypper lr -u
