No sound on the eee PC 1000H

I have a problem with the sound on the eee PC 1000H.
I can play normal music files without problem, but if i want to watch any videos in youtube or anywhere else, i can’t hear anything.

I checked KMixer, but nothing changed.
OS: openSUSE 11.1 KDE 4.1.85

Can you “define” what you mean by “or anywhere else” ?

For youtube, I have installed flash-player and MPlayer and mplayerplug-in.

But its possible you need to do more than that, dependant on your PC’s audio configuration/application configurations.

anywhere else= other video stores (googlevideo, videos watching in the internet)

I can watch the videos without any problem, but I hear nothing.

edit: strange, now it works and I don’t know why.*
edit2: maybe because of the VideoLan Repository

Glad to read its working now.

When you state “because of the VideoLan Repository”, do you mean its working now because you removed the VideoLan Repository and replaced the VideoLan apps with Packman packaged apps?

I tried yesterday the 10 steps, and after the 3rd step I had a problem, so I stopped.
And later I didn’t watch any videos, until now.
