No sound in kde plasma

Hi,

with the help of this forum I did a fresh install of tumbleweed today.
Now I have no sound in my kde session: applet says no audio devices found.
The sound works fine in my old (but updated to current) tumbleweed.
What I already tried:

  • added myself to audio group (since I am in that group on another installation)
  • systemctl --user restart pipewire
  • systemctl --user restart pipewire-pulse
  • sudo sudo udevadm trigger

This is the audio device I’m missing:
00:1f.3 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller (rev 20)

What else can I do?

I found an error in dmesg about sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl about missing files.
I did sudo zypper in sof-firmware and rebooted.
Now it works. No idea why this package is not in the original set of packages.
