No SCSI_MOD.ko in kernel

I need to communicate with an old Sony DTF2 drive over fibre channel.
Whilst the qlogic cards see everything ok the MT commands are not working correctly.

Looking deeper into this I noted that the SCSI_MOD.KO was not in the kernel.

Please can some advise on how best to add this module to the kernel.
