I’m new to linux so bear with me. When I use Firefox in Windows I use NoScript as a security feature. Is this necessary if I’m running Firefox in openSuse?
Thanks

Can’t hurt, can it? In principle, any script executing in your browser may be potentially dangerous; the single most important difference in this regard is that liGNUx is rarely run as root, as opposed to Windows where you have to be Administrator just to play Hearts…

Yes. The latest issue if you recall had to do with the creation
of an invisible window that could be used to allow a malicious client
to click/enter things on your machine.
Didn’t depend on OS type…
It’s a good idea since you never know when you might mis-key a URL and get something nasty. Go ahead and install NoScript. You can export the white list from from the Windows install and import them into your linux install through the NoScript Options menu. Easier than “teaching” the new install.
