No project monitor tab in kdenlive

I have attempted to install kdenlive (0.9.6-2.30) on OpenSuse 12.3. Kdenlive, ffmpeg and melt were all obtained from the packman repository. Most of the usual functions work, except that there were only two tabs found under the monitor area - clip and record. There is no tab for project as expected and discussed in the documentation.
I have not found related posts on this issue in the kdenlive forums.

Has anyone encountered this problem in the OpenSuse environment?

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

You can enable/disable all those tabs in the “View” menu.
Or right-click on a tab’s title bar.

IIUYC, what you are looking for is the “Project Monitor”, enable that so that it’s ticked (although it should be enavled by default):
