No option for 1920x1200 resolution in display settings

Before i installed the nvidia 8800gt drivers there was an option for 1920x1200 res but it didnt fill the screen of my monitor. After installing th 8800gt for opensuse, the default res was able to fill up the entire screen of my 24" widescreen monitor which is good, but there was no option for for 1900 or 1680 resolution.

Hi,

Try using sax2 to change this. Open up Yast Administrator Settings. Then click on Hardware then choose Graphics Card and Monitor. From there you can manually change the resolution.

Thanks alot Ian, that worked flawlessly. Now i’m just wondering how to installing audio and video codecs for openSuse. Audio from a mp3 is able to play but yet it’s very static.
