No Network on new install of openSUSE 12.1

Hi,

Just installed Suse 12.1 64bit on my AMD based computer.

I’ve tried two different disks to install but I end up with network connection whatever. Nothing shows in the system tray either regarding the network.
The network has operated fine with no adjustment on various versions of Ubuntu, Mandriva, Rosa2012 & Mint.

“lspci” in terminal gives the following info:
Network Controller: Ralink Corp RT2561/RT61 rev B 802.11g
Ethernet Controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co Ltd RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev01)

Anyone have any ideas? - it’s just a standard install.

Thanks

Open Yast > network Settings

If you have a wired connection only, you should use ifup
If you plan to employ wireless too, you should use Network Manager
Follow thru with the configuration. You shouldn’t really need to enter
anything, just click next > >

You may need to reboot

Thanks very much, caf4926.
Once I opened Yast the rest was straightforward.
Not having tried Suse (much) before I was not familiar with Yast.

Thanks again
