Hey all thanks for your replies…!
Sorry I was away for the weekend and didn’t have my laptop with me…
Ok so I booted to my “Desktop” Kernel and the same thing happened. When I Left-Click on the “Network Manager” icon it
says, “no network devices found”. When I’m at work I always use a wired connection (eth0) but the wireless isn’t working
either…
But anyway I had booted to my Desktop Kernel and re-ran the lspci command and here’s what I got:

Hey lwfinger, thanks for the reply.
I tried running your command while logged into the Desktop Kernel not thinking that I didn’t have internet access lol… Duhh!
I’ll try and Download that now while I’m in the “Default” Kernel and actually have internet access.
I’ll post back with my results as soon as I download that.
Caf,
Yea, I’m not exactly sure why I have more then one… I’m still a bit of a Noob when it comes to this and just had them because
that’s what I had when I started working with Linux a little over a year and a half ago. When they gave me my laptop it had
the Desktop, Default and PAE Kernels already installed. Then the other day before I posted here there was a Kernel update
which I ran, but not before my /boot partition had been all filled up so I decieded to completely remove the PAE kernel and just update
the Default and Desktop ones… After that when I tried booting to my Desktop Kernel (which I wanted to change to the Default boot
Kernel on Power-Up), there was no network devices found apparently… But the “Default” Kernel still works without issue.
Anyway, I’ll post back with my results from the “diffutils” command as soon as I can.
Thanks Again,
Matt
Thanks
