No mouse in vmware, tumbleweed guest, default gnome install

Hi,

I have just installed openSUSE-42.1-DVD-x86_64-Build0017-Media.iso,
tumbleweed, in UEFI mode, under VMware Player. zypper dup shows no
updates. Desktop is gnome, all default because I can’t configure
anything in it.

The problem is that the mouse doesn’t move, it is perpetually at the
screen center.

Is this a problem with vmware, or with tumbleweed? Ideas?

I can use graphical tools from the host, via “ssh -X …”

Yiks. :frowning:

I was misled by the main download page: the development version is not
tumbleweed, but Leap. And I knew this, yet I stumbled.

Weird, because I have another Leap guest and it works fine.
