No more USB 2.0 hub

Hi,
I am using a Shuttle SG41 since 2 years now, with Opensuse (from 11.1 to 12.1 now).

Since 11.4, my integrated USB hubs (Intel ICH/N10 7) are no more detected as USB 2.0 hubs, but as 1.1 hubs, which lead to dramatically slow transfers to USB disks and keys.
I googled a bit and found nothing really interesting, appart loading/unloading the ehci_hdc module, but it does not work in openSuse 11.4/12.1, as the USB drivers are compiled directly into the kernel.

Any idea on that ?

Is there someone getting the same behavior than me ?

Under the first USB selection I have I expanded, expanded the first EHCI Host Contorller, expanded Resources, expanded baud and saw a speed of 480,000,000. I’m assuming that means 480Mbps. Under USB Controller, I have two listings; 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset USB2 Enhanced Host Controller.

For me, in the HW info menu of YaST, i get a speed of 12,000,000 … So definitely USB 1.1.
With OpenSuse 11.3, the hubs were perfectly detected as USB 2.0. What happens in 11.4 and 12.1 ???

I’m not sure what could be wrong. The settings I gave are from a fresh install of Open SUSE 12.1.

Please explain. You had 11.3 installed, then what, you installed fresh 11.4
and 12.1, or you upgraded, what?

If it worked in 11.3 and it did not work as soon as you installed 12.1,
report as bug in Bugzilla.
