I just keep putting my foot in my mouth.
I think I’ll just shut up for a while

hehe…cheer up. You’re not alone.
I don’t have that problem, my feet are too far away…seem to keep walking into door frames though…much more painful ;)
LOL, better in your mouth that in the other place where the sun don’t
shine…

If you feel bad about things you say, and you also feel you probably meant it differently… then, hey! you are definitely not alone.
If it’s the other thread your talking about, don’t think too much about it… you’ve vented your thought, others have reacted. Nothing bad there and no mean intention as I see it.
Keep your spirits & know you are welcome… but with posting you always have the ’ risk ’ of someone taking it the wrong way…
Cheers,
Wj
@malcolmlewis, lol… yeah, well… what if the foot is reaaaaaallllyyy smelly and tastes cheesy? I don’t know about that one!
This is very true, it’s very easy to miss-understand someone when dealing with plain text. Lack of facial expression, tone of voice etc doesn’t help matters and I sometimes find my own mood affects how I perceive what others are saying.
I guess the trick is to try to avoid taking anything too personally.

Hmm…I’ll stick with the door frames;)
Hmmnn better express your thoughts than to keep it boiling. It will give you a lot of spasms.
Anyway mistakes are made to be corrected. Cheer-up and have a happy life. Keep on going.

Try a little seasoning. It helps.
Jim
I’ve done that so many times I’ve developed “Athlete’s Tongue”!
Eeeewwwww…
To the OP - if you’re referring to your recent attitudes thread, take this as a learning experience - oldcpu had a really good idea with his fictitious post.
With any forum posting, take the time to preview the post and ask yourself a few questions - “Will this post prove to the world that I am a total fool whereas silence would make me look wise?” “If I was the object of this post, how would I feel if some other poster from 2,000 miles away who doesn’t know anything about me was talking about me like this?”
Lastly, you were man (or woman) enough to promptly apologize when called on the post - being able to publically post, “I might have been wrong, sorry.” is a good first step to improving any forum community. Sadly, this attitude is too rarely seen - so good on you for expressing it.
Maybe you should read this article.
