no login/logout song, some settings are missing

Hi.

Sorry for my bad English.

After installing openSUSE 42.1 leap, I’ve found that there is no login/logoff sound.
Sound is working. I can listen to music, notifications are working (I can hear some notification sounds).
I checked system settings >>> notifications >>> Event sources. there is no any option for “Plasma Workspace”

Installed openSUSE leap 42.1 and tumbleweed several times, even in VM there is no option for configuring login/logoff sound in event sources.
Seems something is missing, but I can’t find that :frowning:

First: openSUSE is that stable and reliable that reinstalling will lead to exactly the same result :smiley:
Second: your english is OK, I understood every word of it.

In my Tumbleweed install, the notification items for logon/logoff are available, you can configure those through

  • Systemsettings - Notifications - Plasma Workspace
  • Tick Login - check “Play sound”, select a sound file of your choice, Done.
