Is this SLED or possibly SLES?

You could use the correct forum if that is the case.
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) - NOVELL FORUMS
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) - NOVELL FORUMS

Could this be related to your graphics card?
Possibly you need to boot to level3 login and go su and then do:

sax2 -r -m 0=vesa

reboot

Try

startx

if you still only get CLI

Dear caf4926,

This really help me up to some extent. But the issue is the resolution is not right or fit. You know some for that also?

So it sounds like you have a display now. Thing is it’s just basic ‘vesa’.
You need to tell us what graphics device you have (nvidia, ATI…?)

Dear caf4926,

This has been done! Kindly ignore the previous post.
Thanks for your help
