No Kde 3 entry in login manager.

I am using 12.3 64 bit and chose Kde 4 as the default desktop for the install. Later on I installed Kde 3 by setting up the repository in Yast and choosing the pattern but it’s missing from the login menu so I have no way to start it.

Can somebody tell me how to fix this?

Nevermind. It was the kdebase3-session package. For some reason it was not installed.

Thanks.

Re-posting, as it did not make to the web-side.

Hi
you’re right,
the kdebase3-session package is the one, as described in
https://en.opensuse.org/KDE3

Perhaps you forgot to enter or activate the corresponding repository in YaST ?

Usually it works fine.

Good Luck
Mike

Just had the same problem.

Disabling auto login for the default user solved it for me.

Otherwise you could be a bit more telling about what kind of PC you use and how you installed.
