No internet connection after installation of openSUSE 11.3

Version 11.2 worked all right. After installation of 11.3 the internet can no longer be reached. I formatted the system partition but not the home partition.

Why are the missing configuration files missing and how can I install the system properly?

Did you skip network configuration during install? From what it looks like the device has it’s driver, it’s loaded. But there’s absolutely no configuration.

What happens if you do


su -c 'rcnetwork restart'

Start Yast - Network - Network Settings, Do you see the card? If so, set the card to use DHCP if not already done so.

Please post output. And let us know which desktop you use.
