No Internet after install of 11.4 Network connections fine

Laptop seems happy if I choose to use Network Manager.

PC is still my problem…

Wired connection is not a problem.

I can only ping IPs within my LAN, unless I either select Default Gateway in YaST> Network Settings (despite setting to DHCP) or choose to use Network Manager option. Then I have WAN access. However, on reboot I have to go through the whole process again, as Default Gateway setting is no longer there!

WiFi Card:
04:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)

wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:14:BF:72:32:72
inet addr: Bcast: Mask:
RX packets:1414 errors:0 dropped:26 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:1126 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:478916 (467.6 Kb) TX bytes:158089 (154.3 Kb)

Having the same wireless card, what I’ve done is using yast software manager I installed :
2. b43legacy-fimware, and
3. b43-fwcutter
and reboot, it did the trick for me. Perhaps you can give it a try.

This Wifi doesn’t work on 11.4 KDE x86-64 with Broadcom 4312 Forum has lots of info on related card, but definitely more cumbersome to follow.
