No install option in boot menu

I am trying to install Suse 11 on an old Dell laptop (inspiron 2500) and for some reason the bootmenu doesn’t give an Install option.
Needless to say, somewhat anoying :wink:

I suspect it is a controller driver issue, but I am ot sure.

When I choose the opensuse failsafe option, after about 15 minutes it does give me a login screen, aparently the rest does work.

Is there any way to do install suse manually?
OR is this a known issue that I whas unable to find :slight_smile: if so, I do appologize.

Are you using the LiveCD or DVD Installer media?

IIRC, there’s no such option on the LiveCD; you boot to a live desktop and install from there.

Which options do you see?
I have only the DVD here, and it offers KDE and Gnome-Live mode and installation.
