I try to find a rpm for kmplayer from here, but there are all for KDE?
Software.openSUSE.org
I am using opensuse 11.2 + Gnome desktop, which rpm should I use?

kmplayer is a kde app (hence the ‘k’ before mplayer)
gnome-mplayer is a gnome biased version
oh:shame: ok, thanks
there are 2 version for gnome-mplayer,which one should I use? what’s the difference between them?
gnome-mplayer
home:doiggl/openSUSE_11.2
home:RedDwarf/openSUSE_11.2
You should use the one from packman repository.
have read your guide, but your guide didn’t explain the diffrence between these 2 version:
home:doiggl/openSUSE_11.2
home:RedDwarf/openSUSE_11.2
Please post this from your terminal
zypper lr -d
I just want to see what repos you have.
These:
home:doiggl/openSUSE_11.2
home:RedDwarf/openSUSE_11.2
Are community member repos. RedDwarf I know and have used, but not at the moment.
doiggl: seems to be a kernel packager mostly
There is no difference at all. doiggl just links to my package… It’s the exact same version, and when I update it the one from doiggl will be also automatically updated.
But if you are using Software.openSUSE.org to search notice it doesn’t search in the Packman repository. Webpin does.
As said, if in doubt you should use the Packman version (and if you are interested in version 0.9.9.2 ask them to update it).

You need to enable repo 1, 4 and 5
Go to Yast software - repositories:
When I enabled the oss and the non-oss repository I have also disabled the DVD (here repo 2) as repository. It had gotten on my nerves that YaST always had been trying to seach for the DVD in the CD/DVD tray. But I have a internet-flatrate and maybe there is an other solution?
