No-fuss wireless setup

Hello all,

Currently have Opensuse 10.3 and am looking for suggestions for a wireless setup that works well with Opensuse.

By this, I mean that no drivers have to be downloaded, installed, etc. - no BIOS updates, no kernel updates - autodetection by YAST would be ideal.

I have one machine that has an ethernet interface. I want to set up the second one to have a wireless interface.

Any suggestions out there as to what is good and what one should avoid like the plague?

TIA

As far as i know, all Intel wireless cards should work perfectly under linux, if this is waht u are asking.

Thanks for responding - but - for example, I have a NVIDIA chipset that has ethernet attached to it. It does not work under Linux - and - I think it would be easier to find Big Foot than it would be to find a driver for this that will work…

So, I was just looking for something that does not require so much hassle.

TIA

well i had an atheros 5007 on my laptop,
i had to search for all the drivers, install them and make them functional under 64bit.
Card was working but system was way too slow and i couldnt also take advantage of all the features of my card.
I bought an INTEL PRO/WIRELESS 3945ABG MINI PCI EXPRESS ADAPTER in a cost of 20euros and everything is just perfect
