bruces@linux-e8zb:~>

After fixing some multimedia problems last week, something new has cropped up. The flash video on this site plays the sound just fine, but the video is a blank orange screen  Site here: Trucking Jobs - CR England

I can right click and get the Flash Player settings box to come up, which seems to indicate that’s working (more or less). I’m using OS 10.3 with the Version 9.0.151.0-0.1 of the Flash Player. The site displays properly in Windows version of Firefox, but not for Linux version.

Accept that this will happen sometimes.

I just tried it in konqueror and opera and it played fine.

Same here (orange screen), and I didn’t change my setup at all. Opensuse 11.1RC1. I assume caf is right, there’s something they do with the video which is incompatible with the flash player on Linux. BTW, the youtube link to the video points to a working version.

Uwe

I forgot the mention that the video played fine in Opera. Must be a Firefox or plugin problem, I guess. Nice to know the system itself is set up right, though.

Tried the YouTube link and the video played fine in another tab in FF.

Thanks for checking, anyway. Strange how it plays fine from the YouTube link in another tab in FF and not from the page though. Opera played it within the web page just fine and also from the YouTube link.
