Hi, not sure if that issue already came up, but i like to share it anyway.
As i was browsing on a new Amiga computer (indeed) the system faces a similar problem in that Adobe does not support the platform. Since Apple does not support Flash also, it occurred that YouTube actually offers HTML5 in Beta to be used.
So what one has to do is simply typing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=(http://www.youtube.com/html5) and you are set. There are some limitations but overall it seems to work without the need of flash.
Well, just keep in mind that it states ‘beta’. So not all will function. Eventually it will. Still, even with some problems that occur i think it is a viable option to be without flash. Think of the iPad users, they don’t have flash either.

Yep, I realise that. I’m not a big viewer of online video content, but it will be good with he natural progression towards HTML5 delivery. I have a company iPhone, but don’t use it much for web use.

It might be a long shot, but google chrome has built-in flash support. Maybe you can compile the open source chrome for Amiga?
The way i understand it, there is an emulation (huh?) that lets you use older 68k software. Maybe the best i can give you is a blog from some die hard Amiga user who writes about his experience with the X1000. Epsilon’s AmigaOne X1000 Blog
At the moment i have no funds to buy the thing, but i intend to get me a A1200 for a project.
Anyway, i hope this helps and it may answer your questions.
Not sure. Did you mean for Amiga OS? There is still the linux route you can take on the Amiga as well. So in theory you should be able to run everything linux on an Amiga as well. There are some Amiga specific browsers as well.
