No desktop

He guys!

I’m new to linux and openSUSE.
I’ve seen some screenshots and really like it :).
So i downloaded it, instaled it…and now i start my PC and only see the CMD (i don’t know how it’s called on linux, on win its CMD i think), no desktop.

Have i done something wrong on instalation, or something else?

I get something like this:

Please reply to a couple of questions, so that we have the info needed to help you:

  1. Your openSUSE version, preferably the filename of the download
  2. Videocard brand and model
  3. Did you check the download, perform the media check from the installer media ?

Get back with replies, stay cool and relax, it will work with some help.

can you tell us about your hardware, what video card or chip? how much RAM?
What version of openSUSE? ----and some more.

  3. I tried to instal the system with GNOME interface, but i got some errors. So i instaled it with KDE and the instalation went fine.
