No Desktop icons after Boot

Hi,
After booting, I have no desktop icons. The /home/userid/desktop directory is intact and I have the taskbar at the bottom of screen. I am using KDE. How do I restore the icons?

Right click the desktop select folder view settings. You can reset things from there.

You can also set your desktop up in a widget, Unlock widgets then select add.
