on the login screen, when I choose “Console Login” or hit alt-n, I only get a blank, black screen. Same if I hit ctr-alt-F1/F6.
I’m not sure when the problem first appeared, as I haven’t tried it in several months, just been happily using KDE4. I’m using a fresh install of 11.1 from when it was released, and I know it worked back then. I don’t know if its related, but last month I re-installed windows on another partition and had to re-do grub. Also, i’m using the 180.44 nvidia driver.
Any Ideas?
but on a positive note, a recent update fixed the startup sound from getting cut-off half way through playing
