this is what it said
thank you again so much for trying to help me

This is your wireless device:

01:02.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2915ABG [Calexico2] Network Connection (rev 05)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 1001
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 128, IRQ 22
Memory at c0001000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable)
Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 2
Kernel driver in use: ipw2200
Kernel modules: ipw2200

This device is using the correct driver and should just work.
Check in Yast - Network Devices - Network Settings

See that is still using Network Manager to manage the network.

Now try configuring the connection again in Network manager in the Systray.

okay i will try that

network manager is working
but pls. tell a noob like me what you mean with systray i can not find it

Lower right corner of your screen just to the left of the clock. Is the systray, where small icons reside eg; network, kmix, clipper,
Here is a pic

okay thank you… sorry for all the stupid quotestions

i am soory it does not work have tried to configure notifications
and i have tried the edit connections
i do not know if it is me who is doing it wrong but it does not work
when i ask it to connect it works but after a few sec. it turns grey again?

cool background by the way

any thing left that could be the solution

You probably need to check your network settings, right click edit connections and make sure you have it all correct, and also check the settings in the device (router?) you are connecting to.
Make sure you have the correct ESSID
check to the encryption type in the router and use the same in the network manager
