No complaints, just kudos after what I just went through.

I tried installing TurboTax under Windows XP & Oracle VirtualBox and I got hung up so I trotted out an older Netbook and proceeded to install Windows XP on it.
Sheesh, what a struggle and I really learned to appreciate openSUSE and how easily OS recognized the network adapter, and upgraded the SP (service pack) HAH !!!

I have gotten spoiled.

Yes in deed it is so easy to Install Windows don’t you know. :open_mouth:

What problem did you have installing to the VM?

Let’s see if I can remember.
The 1st was that TT said that .NET framework or some such was missing and needed to be installed.
Well, it took a long while but continued on.
Then it got to the point of installing TT and it looked like nothing was happening.
By that I mean that I was watching the disk activity and network icons at the bottom of VM and occassionally they would flicker.
I let it run for about an hour while watching those 2 icons. Eventually there was no indication of activity from those 2 icons for about 15 minutes so I shut it down. I will try it again and pay more attention.

This was 12.3, KDE 4.10.5

It probably needs .NET which is more or less just a bunch of DLL’s (libraries) for the .NET family of languages. Should be able to install that from Windows site

It eventually started the unzipping and installing, but it has been running for 3 hours and it’s 24% complete.
Sheesh.
