I recently filed this bug: 1243023 – [SELinux] Cockpit permission denied with staff_u users
In doing so, I noticed there was no product for openSUSE MicroOs bugs. There exists for TW, microos leap, Aeon/Kalpa, and SUSE Micro, but not the main microos variant advertised on the opensuse homepage.
Is there meaning to this? or just a kind of minor oversight?
@dglanzman Tumbleweed is correct as MicroOS follows this product, so it needs to be fixed there.
Ok, glad my educated guess was right. But isn’t the relation between microos leap and opensuse leap the same? microos leap has it’s own place in bugzilla
@dglanzman they are their own openSUSE Products, own maintenance stream and hence bugzilla entry
Interesting, can you elaborate on this? Does this mean TW and microos leap have some kind of maintainership that regular microos doesn’t get? Curious what makes microos special in this regard vs the others.
@dglanzman because it tracks factory/tumbleweed and those repositories, something breaks in MicroOS, needs to be fixed in Tumbleweed…
The other products require maintenance updates, so different process to fix etc
ah ok, that clarifies things. Thanks for the info.
