no boot after update from 10.2 to 11.1

The update has done fine. But now i can’t restart the system. After the BIOS messages the computer restarts again. Using the openSUSE-DVD and selecting “Boot from hard disk” the computer restarts itself again.

So i have booted the rescue system and then:

mount /dev/sda1 /mnt

cd /mnt

chroot .

grub-install

after the setup line grub said:
Error 21: Selected disk does not exist

So, next try:

ls /boot/grub/stage1

/boot/grub/stage1

grub

grub> find /boot/grub/stage1
Error 15: File not found

Grrr. Any ideas?

Additional informations:

cat /etc/grub.conf

setup --stage2=/boot/grub/stage2 --force-lba (hd0) (hd0,0)

cat /boot/grub/device.map

(hd0) /dev/disk/by-id/ata-SAMSUNG_HD160HJ_S0XVJ1MP300321

fdisk -l (does not work when chrooted)

OK. There is no solution. I have reinstalled the system from scratch.
