How do I reinstall powerdevil? I can’t found it’s package.
May the KDE update fix the problem? shoul I wait for 11.4?

I plan to move to XFCE. Will it help or not?

Did you run those commands as regular user? (I’m thinking you ran them as root, hence the messages).

I know this thread is very old, but I have this problem as well, except that in my system it has never been working at all, I know it might be because my battery was not good, but then I bought a new one and still not working, I was hoping that it would recognize the new battery, but I guess that’s too much to ask for.
Is there anything I can do?

I also tried those commands…

ps -A |grep dbus
  557 ? 00:00:01 dbus-daemon
 1163 ? 00:00:00 dbus-launch
 1164 ? 00:00:01 dbus-daemon
 3900 ? 00:00:00 dbus-launch
 3901 ? 00:00:00 dbus-daemon
ps -A |grep upowerd
 1189 ? 00:00:00 upowerd

are you also running openSUSE 11.3 on a MSI wind u90 netbook???

does yours also have nvidia graphics?

have you also fiddled with your configs but don’t remember what you
changed and can’t back track to default settings??

i’d suggest you start over and tell us YOUR software, your hardware
and your symptoms…

in a NEW thread with a descriptive subject…

that is the way the helpers here want it–and we don’t have to guess so
much…
