No audio OpenSUSE 11.1

My audio doesn’t seem to work at all. When I boot up, I hear the piano music when I reach my desktop, but after that, any tests I run or music files I try to play don’t work. I ran
cat /proc/asound/cards in the terminal, and I got

0 [NVidia ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia
HDA NVidia at 0xfe024000 irq 22
Please help.
No sound seems to work, not flash, nor MP3’s. I read the whole help section, but it didnt do much to help. I read the manufacturer’s website and it said I have alc 888 chipset.
I have the latest alsa-firmware

There is an audio troubleshooting guide:
SDB:AudioTroubleshooting - openSUSE

Did you try the sound test in that guide noted here:
SDB:AudioTroubleshooting - openSUSE - how to test your sound

Note, if your start up sound works then your basic sound likely works. Its also possible your multimedia is not setup properly. Take note of this post:
openSUSE Forums - View Single Post - setting up your multimedia

I just changed my line out, and it works. Just wish I didnt have to use the rear output…Thank’s for all your help!
