I managed to get both my wired and wireless internet access working during two days of forum reading and changing settings. But, I cannot update 11.2 nor access openSUSE.org. I can access other sites.I have tried turning off the firewall. I cannot find what is set incorrectly.
What if you go to the IP: 130.57.4.24
I get “300 Multiple Choices” Your request could not be processed…
Can you browse this
Index of /update/11.2

Better yet just ‘dig’ opensuse.org and see if you get that URL. The error
you mentioned suggests you can hit the web server properly:
dig opensuse.org
then:
curl opensuse.org #post the output
Good luck.

I get a google search response with a list of updates. I tried to connect to a few and get a “Server not found” response.
Here is the output of the two responses:

The two lines added in /etc/resolv.conf are
search homeportal.2wire.net
nameserver 192.168.2.1
They are the same lines that are on my 11.1 machine that I am writing this on.
