nntp via thunderbird twit filter

unfortunately, i’ve decided i need a twit filter…

i began that process and soon found that using thunderbird as a nntp
client i have to make a filter for each forum…i wonder if anyone
knows how to construct a single filter which will mark as read ALL
posts by a twit no matter to which opensuse.org.* forum it was posted?

or, failing that: maybe suggest a different nntp client with such
capability…

Tools, Message Filters, Filters for…
Select forums.opensuse.org, then “Choose this server” and create a filter.

wow, thanks…so obvious now that you point it out…

unfortunately, while all you say works great the very next step of
selecting “New” and then spin from “Subject” to “From” (to name the
twit) is not possible…that works fine for one forum, but not for the
server (at least not here with Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 on KDE3.5.x and
openSUSE 10.3)

sigh…i guess i’ll log a bug…
