I have configured thunderbird to access forums via NNTP as is described here
Server nntp.opensuse.org
Email: fperal@no-mx.forums.microfocus.com
I have susbscribed to some groups and I can read them, but when I post, the posts get losts.
I guess It may be something about user/password … I found strange thet the FAQ says nothing about identification because as it is described there anyone should be able to post using some other person account.

Back in the old days (I’m an NNTP user) the account had to be your Novell account.
Hi
Not needed… what about the log files from Thunderbird when you try
to send a post?

No authentication is used - you just need to use your username@no- mx.forums.microfocus.com as the e-mail address when you post.
I think I did something bad. The posts appears in thunderbird with the
user in the “from” so donig a “reply” only replies the user, not the
newsgroup.
Trying again. If this message is posted in the group is that it worked.

OK, this was me. I configured nntp on another computer and for some
reason I mixed the name in user@no-mx.forums.microfocus.com
I see you can use anything and no authentication needed

That worked. Yeah, Thunderbird is a little weird with reply - it tries
to send an e-mail. Posting a follow-up replies to the group.
