Does openSUSE have an NNTP server that works on port 80 instead of post 119?

You can try the nntp server that it has, inn, and read the documentation
or the configuration to see if the port can be changed.

Did you see this … SUSE Paste ?
The only documentation I am aware of is this: https://forums.opensuse.org/faq.php?faq=novfor#faq_nntp
and it only mentions port 119. I have tried nntp.opensuse.org on port 80 and it does not work.
What do you mean with “You can try the nntp server that it has, inn, and read the documentation”? What does “inn” stand for?
Sorry I do not understand… What am I supposed to see in the link that you supplied? It simply shows a copy of my original post.
Hi
As in accessing the openSUSE forums via nntp on port 80, or do you mean the nntp server package (inn) and if it can be configured for port 80?
If it’s forum access, then no it’s only on port 119, is there some restriction on your end for accessing ports other than 80?
Yes, port 119 is now blocked due to some spam problems. Most of the time I access the openSUSE forum via NNTP and was hoping that I could use a different port (such as port 80). But port 80 does not work with server nntp.opensuse.org.

You can change the port to 80, but why would you want to do that? NNTP
on the default web server port doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Or are you asking if there’s an NNTP server with a web interface?

Because the server isn’t configured to use that port - it uses port 119
only.
If you want to use a web browser, use forums.opensuse.org instead.

Of course it will not - forget it.

As you are asking in the application area, the inference was that you
wanted to build your own news server, and have it respond on port 80.
‘inn’ is an nntp server.
If you were asking in the forum support area we might have thought you
wanted to access the forum nntp server on port 80. You might have said
so in the first place.
Anyway, what you ask is impossible to do. Ask instead your network
administrator to allow you to use egress port 119, no other way (spam?
They had one on you, I guess).
Well, yes, there is another way. Hire a server somewhere in internet,
and have it tunnel port 80 to 119. No idea how to achieve this, though.
