the nntp posting i received (in thunderbird) is incomplete, it ends
abruptly and immediately at the end of the http’s posted numbered
paragraph

“1. Test Power On … that transient is nominal.”

i believe that the next line in the http posting is the reason for the
cut-off, that next line is only a single period “.” [and i guess an
end of line/carriage return]

i believe that combo with an immediately preceding end of
line/carriage like

EOL/CR.EOL/CR

may amount to a ‘standard’ end of messages symbol for nntp clients
(???)

and, probably should be searched for and screened out by the http>nntp
gateway…

I confirm, that post is incomplete here, too.

In “mail” CLI interface, an empty line with only a dot does indeed
terminate the email and sends it. I think “sendmail” does the same. If the
gateway has taken some software from that source, it will behave the same.

yes, it is a very old ‘standard’…

Hi
Confirmed, will ping the Admins, but not sure if anything can be done.
