Hi, I have a couple of openSUSE 11.4 x86_64 workstations
authenticated against a CentOS server which I have no control, only ssh
access as user…

In the morning when I return to the workstations I leave all night
running idle the X server hangs and if I kill it, it won’t start again,
I cannot reboot the pc using shutdown -r now, only reset it

Linux Exia 2.6.37.6-0.5-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2011-04-25 21:48:33 +0200
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

the /var/log/warn and /var/log/messages contain a lot of messages like

Jul 27 11:50:47 Exia kernel: 2812.221586] NFS: v4 server returned a
bad sequence-id error on an unconfirmed sequence ffff880007854220!

another thing is I have a bad mapping of the users until I manually run
rcnfs restart
