NFS client can't start--segmentation fault

This issue has appeared at least twice in the past few years, for Ver. 10 and 11, but I’ve not seen any answer other than a suggestion to file a bug report.

The NFS client, on 11.4, returns an unspecified error when started from System Runlevel:
YaST got signal 11 at YCP file Service.ycp:77
/sbin/yast2: line 423: 19958 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module “$@” “$SELECTED_GUI” $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS

Is this client not compatible with the wide screen format on my notebook?

========== overnight break =============
Left both machines running at the end of the day. This morning, Runlevel can stop and restart NFS client with no problem. The remote directory shows up in the client’s Dolphin and is the correct size and content.
In the medical field they call this spontaneous remission. Hope it works for you too.

did you file a bug report? (or someone else)

if someone else, did you add your particulars to the report to make the
solution more findable?

what was the result of the bug report? is it still active?

the deal is: no bug report = no one looking to fix it

a good bug report is a contribution to the community.

When it is spontanious like that it will be difficult to recreate. But my opinion is that the error is coming from YaST, not from the client. And that seems more logical because the NFS client has nothing to do with the screen, but YaST displays on it.
