Newbie Preparing for Upgrade in Coming Days....

I hear the latest version of SUSE is due out in the coming days and I wanted to ensure I am prepared for the upgrade.

Any thoughtful reminders or things to perform on my Gnome SUSE (13.1) would be appreciated.

Also, I am not sure if my repos are in the best condition…I like to use the beta versions of Firefox and Chromium (Chromium as my default browser).

here is my repo list:

Personally I keep 2 root partitions and rotate them each version, keeping home and any data partitions and install fresh.

If you must update in place then disable all repos but 6,7,9,10 you can re-enable them after the upgrade. change them to point to the 13.2 repos (ie edit the URL) then do

zypper clean
zypper dup

Thanks!

I see I have a Firefox repo for my beta Firefox…is there a repo for the Chromium browser as well or does it come from an existing repo by chance?

All repos will eventually be moved to 13.2 but that may not happen on the instant that 13.2 releases.

Also since as of now it is still beta maybe best ask about it on the beta forum
