I have a wired network with my laptop and 2 desktops running win 7, I just installed opensuse 11? and everything seems to work fine, except I do not know how to configure it to connect to my network. Is there a tutorial for this? The documentation did not help at all.
Any help would be appreciated.
Have you verified you do not have a working network already? There is
probably a Network Manager icon on the main panel at the bottom where you
can view your current network settings (IP address, gateway, DNS servers)
assuming they were sent via DHCP which is the default as I recall. To get
your current settings to post here open a terminal (Alt+F2 and then type
xterm) and run the following commands:
ip addr
ip route
cat /etc/resolv.conf
Good luck.

my destination computer…(secondary) is on win 7.
