That is a post install screen. When the system has installed then it reboots after a fashion and starts that. It should be safe to reboot. But I have never had this happen before. It may resolve itself after reboot. Please remove the install media too. Let me know what happens because this will be a reboot Proper, so we’ll see if grub is working correctly.
I rebooted the system, the boot menue seems to work fine.
Linux and XP up and running.
Maybe my logitech USB/wireless mouse caused the grief. I unplugged it for the 1st reboot, and plugged it back in now. (it works)
I have read keyboard drivers could cause this problem as well.
Anyway…
After “some” hours, and thanks to your help, I have both OS working on the system now.
